What You'll Do:

As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure the maintenance programs, processes and procedures are in compliance and meet the operational goals.


Your Accountabilities:

  • Leads and manages the maintenance team to ensure enforcement with processes, procedures and programs to meet the goals of the area.
  • Develops, creates, implements, and monitors all maintenance programs to ensure equipment efficiency, continuous improvement in systems and operational goals are met.
  • Manages and leads the install, repair or maintenance of capital equipment projects to ensure budget, timelines and operating goals are met.
  • Develops and implements measures and processes to minimize breakdowns and repairs that will optimize efficiency and meet production goals.
  • Provides guidance, technical support and troubleshoots on more complex problem areas and implements effective solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Directs and assigns work to maintenance team or external resources, ensuring projects are completed in a safe, high-quality and efficient way to meet production goals.
  • Leads and manages the recruiting, hiring, training and development of team members to ensure mutual growth towards department goals.


Position Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment; prior experience within a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with driving total plant preventative maintenance programs. Project Management experience is important too.
  • Certification(s): N/A
  • Functional Skills: Advanced to master knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, with a strength in electrical, PLC controls and robotics. Ability to work safely on high-voltage electrical circuits, along with forklift and overhead crane experience required; excellent knowledge of safety requirements in the maintenance field is also important; solid understanding of Arc Flash plant requirements is also needed. Ability to analyze, read and interpret prints and understand schematics to effectively lead install or repair projects. The position also requires excellent problem-solving/decision making skills; someone who pays close attention to detail and has the ability to plan, prioritize and manage projects timely and within budget. Excellent understanding of ISO/Quality Systems, Safety, Lean thinking, and 5S is also needed.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong PC skills; experience with AutoCAD and ERP systems would be helpful
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: High compliance and customer focus with strong collaboration skills to effectively implement processes and procedures to reach area goals; able to effectively problem-solve and make solid decisions; conceptual thinker who can continually make enhancements within the area. Excellent management skills to develop, mentor, and train others.

Pay Programs:  Pay is commensurate with proven expertise!

   -  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To:  VP & GM

Core Hours:   7:00 am 4:30 pm; flexible to work in other shifts if needed.

Typical Work Week:  M-F; some weekends required; 45 50 hours a week on average.

Direct Reports: 9 Direct Reports (26 members total in the Maintenance Department)

Travel:  Limited; Up to 5-10% travel is required.

Work Conditions: Office environment; heat in the winter, semi-controlled temperature in the summer, PPE, Metatarsal steel-toed shoes required, safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, moving mech equip., around welding, etc.
