What You'll Do:


As the Director of Operations, you will research, develop, recommend, and implement strategies, processes, and practices to ensure customer and business goals are continually met and/or exceeded.


Your Accountabilities in the Role:


  • Researches, plans, recommends, and initiates strategies to enhance the Operations and processes based on the Company vision and business/financial goals.
  • Directs and manages the project estimating, scheduling, and status to ensure customer goals are met.
  • Travels to customers to maintain and grow relationships, support the sales process, and ensure quality success on projects.   
  • Reviews data points, budgets, and KPI's to ensure the operational areas are on track; sets up countermeasures, priority actions, and check points, where needed, to optimize the operations and project success.
  • Manages and monitors all projects compared to the budgets and Operational P&L to ensure everything is done on time, within budget, and profitability goals are achieved.
  • Provides technical expertise, recruits, mentors, develops, and counsels' employees so that they are continually growing in their skillsets and able to be accountable for their growing job functions.
  • Researches, hires, and directs sub-contractors/consultants for the projects to ensure complete, on-time, and error-free delivery of their functions.


Position Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Construction or similar field preferred; would consider an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years of related Project & Operational Management and leadership experience in the Virtual Design Construction field or similar laser technology industry; will consider someone from the Civil Engineering or Construction industry with Virtual Design Construction experience. Proven and successful KPI and P&L management experience is also required, along with extensive experience in operational execution regarding On-Time Delivery, Quality, Labor Efficiency, Profitability, Expense Control, and Process Improvements.
  • Functional Skills: Strong researching, planning, prioritizing, and execution skills; excellent business acumen; excellent multi-project management skills; strength in managing to a P&L, ability to delegate goals and manage by KPI's.
  • Certifications: n/a
  • Technology Aptitude/Other: Strong PC, Technology, Microsoft and Software user skillset required.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present, train, and mentor others; will work with all levels both inside and outside the organization.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent customer-focus, leadership and delegation skills, driven, process & people oriented, conceptual thinker who can create/enhance processes. Strong ability to communicate expectations and delegate challenging work to others, with consistent follow up.

Pay/Salary:  Excellent Salary & Bonus Potential!!!!


 And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!


Reports To:     CEO/ President                                                                                                                                                                            

Core Hours:   8am 5pm, with additional hours as needed

Typical Work Week:  M-F; occasional weekend work and overnights; 45-50 hours a week on average

Direct Reports:  5 - 8 Operational team members

Travel:   Approximately 20% to customer locations/trade shows
