What You'll Do:

Leads the Service Department to complete the service orders on-time, error-free, and within the budgeted hours to meet or exceed customer and business expectations.

 

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

 

  • Reviews daily and weekly service orders to ensure people resources are scheduled to meet customer and business goals.
  • Checks inventory and place orders with the Purchasing team proactively to meet daily/weekly services schedules.
  • Reviews service quotes and documents to process the customer orders effectively.
  • Leads, trains, and mentors the team to ensure continual development and growth as a whole.
  • Works on complex orders or assists in overflow to meet the daily service output goals.
  • Handles more complex questions from the team and customers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Performs final quality check and walk-throughs on all service orders processed. Notifies the Case Owner of other potential service items noticed to discuss with the customer.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/ GED equivalency or equivalent course & work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in leading or mentoring in a trailer, RV, or Auto service center; will train the right person who has a mechanical background, mentoring attributes, and proven success in the industry.  
  • Certifications: Able to operate a forklift or scissor lift; will certify on site
  • Functional Skills: Ability to plan, organize, manage, and prioritize activities to achieve the goals; will require the basic ability to schedule parts and people; requires strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail required; basic administrative abilities; advanced math, able to read prints and tape measures with ease; can translates charts/graphs into meaningful information; fully capable of operating general mechanical hand tools and welding parts/steel.  
  • Technology Skills: Basic PC and data entry skills required.
  • Communication Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills required; ability to train, mentor, and educate others. Strong ability to discuss and resolve customer questions and obstacles in a calm manner.
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Strong role modeling, team-player, and mentoring abilities; able to influence and motivate others in a positive way; excellent work ethic, self-reliant, high integrity, sense of urgency, and execution skills to get things done in a high quality way and on-time;  dependable, focused on the customer and quality; is adaptable to business changes; manages conflict with others to reach expectations; has the flexibility to adjust priorities throughout the day to meet schedules, following all safety requirements.  Works well under pressure with timed projects.

Other Important Information:     

 

Pay/Salary:  Pay is commensurate with proven expertise. Starting pay $29 33.00 per hour.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

 

Reports To:     Service Manager                                                                                                                                                                         

Core Hours:   5:00 am 1:00 pm

Typical Work Week:  M-F; occasional Saturdays  (when applicable); typically, 40-43 hours a week on average

Direct Reports:  3 - 5

Travel:   Limited

Work Conditions:   Able to lift up to 50 lbs. sporadically and climb ladders
