What You'll Do:


As the Sales Director, you will research, develop and execute sales initiatives, while also providing leadership and direction, to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met or exceeded.


Your Accountabilities in the Role:


  • Researches, develops, plans and executes on Sales strategies and initiatives that are aligned to the organizational revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identifies candidates for organic growth, complimentary Vendor Partners, complimentary lead-sharing Partners, and acquisition targets.
  • Collaborates with Marketing Director to plan and execute a calendar of events for sales and marketing initiatives, trade shows, seminars/webinars, etc. to brand the organization as a leader in the industry and grow market share.
  • Directly interacts with top customers for optimum customer satisfaction and alignment to customer needs.
  • Leads, motivates, mentors, and develops the Sales Team to ensure optimal performance and success in their roles.
  • Optimizes the Sales Process to maximize efficiencies within the Sales Department, as well as between Sales and other NSI Departments.
  • Develops key metrics to identify, monitor, and review appropriate benchmarks/sales/productivity measures within the Sales Team to ensure annual Sales goals are achieved and executes on corrective actions as required to enhance performance.


Position Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive B2B and B2C Sales, Business Development and business management experience, with high end/high quality brand products; preferably within a global company. Proven success in leading, mentoring and motivating a sales team toward individual and Company goals is also important for this role.
  • Functional Skills: Strategic thinker with the ability to research, develop, plan and execute sales initiatives. Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with a strong financial acumen to manage the departmental budget and execute on sales forecasts, metrics, summations and detailed sales/profitability information on an ongoing basis; also has the proven expertise in analyzing the market and trends, taking appropriate actions to achieve profitability goals.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experienced with CRM systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is also required.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional presentation skills, are also required.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent customer focus and leadership skills to mentor, develop and train others towards business goals and sales strategies. Displays confidence, is driven, creative and a dynamic leader who can influence, motivate and create change and success effectively. Relational, collaborative with excellent networking skills and the ability to develop relationships is key in this role.

Pay/Salary:  Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Core Hours:   8:00 am 5:00 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8-9 hours within this timeframe)

Typical Work Week:  M-F; 45-50 hours a week on average

Direct Reports:  Sales Staff of 8

Travel:   Limited.
