What You'll Do:

As the Accountant, you will review, validate, and process day to day Accounting and administrative work to ensure completeness, on-time, and error free delivery to help support the business and meet financial goals.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Reviews, validates, and processes AP bills and other Accounting/Journal entries to ensure complete, on-time and error free processing.
  • Reviews and processes rebates, warranty claims, inventory purchases, fixed assets, and other items, following specific guidelines and done in a high-quality/timely way.
  • Processes weekly reporting and distribution to the respective Managers to help support the business.
  • Reviews expense reports in the system, with the credit card statements, ensuring accurate coding and processing based on the Company policy. Trains employees on appropriate processing as needed.
  • Assists in completing the month-end close process for accurate and on-time delivery of financials.
  • Assists in the semi-annual physical inventory process to ensure accurate inventory within the system.
  • Processes dealer, excise, and other state registrations, taxes, and licenses for both cargo trailer and RV, ensuring ongoing compliance for the business
  • Assists with payroll processing and duties, ensuring complete, on-time and compliant processing.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: BS degree in Accounting preferred; will consider someone with an Associate's Degree in Accounting and/or related experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of Accounting experience performing basic AP, AR, and journal entry functions in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance is essential.
  • Certification(s): CPA not required but is a plus.
  • Functional Skills: High attention to detail; ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work on-time and accurately; strong basic math skills; highly process-oriented; ability to research tax laws for application in the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Will use defined guidelines and policies to make decisions; will provide suggestions to optimize daily processes
  • Accountability: Subject to set practices and policies; supports goals measured by upper mgmt.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office (especially with Excel), and other software programs.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Strong initiative to work independently, data-focused, supportive of the team, strong with processes and compliance; solid problem-solver who can figure things out or come with suggestions; solution-oriented; has a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills; able to train others

Pay/Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. And, there is also Profit Sharing to reward a "job well done"!

Reports To: Controller

Core Hours: 7:00 am 4:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch; some flexibility in hours worked within this timeframe

Typical Work Week: M-F; some Saturdays are required (when applicable); typically, 40-45 hours a week on average
