What You'll Do:

As the Human Resource Generalist/Manager, you will research, create, and administer Human Resource policies and practices that help drive the mission and goals of the business.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Manages, coordinates, and administers Human Resource and Payroll policies and practices, focused on the goals of the organization along with the needs of the team members for a balanced approach.
  • Researches, recommends and executes on new or enhanced Human Resource practices, policies or programs, ensuring effective implementation and smooth communication to all team members.
  • Manages and executes on effective recruiting and onboarding strategies to hire and retain top talent by building a candidate pipeline, enhancing the Company brand, and networking with other HR professionals in the area.
  • Manages the performance management programs that will measure team member success towards business goals and align development towards increased mutual success.
  • Manages the compensation and benefit programs, with the Leadership team, ensuring competitive programs that align to organizational goals and budget, while enhancing the ability to recruit and retain talent.
  • Acts as a "Credible Activist" to build relationships of trust and integrity within the team to ensure engaging, fair and compliant employee relations practices.
  • Manages programs that are focused on employee morale and retention to drive organizational success.

 Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or related field; may consider an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience within a professional work environment.
  • Certification(s): HR Certifications from SHRM or PHR helpful but not required.
  • Functional Skills: Experienced or passionate about researching, creating, and administering activities and programs; excellent ability to find the facts, problem-solve and provide logical, credible guidance to others calmly; great with priorities and project management; strong attention to details and can work with large amounts of data, along with solid follow-through to get things done well.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficiency with MS office products, google, HRIS applications.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to lead/present educational meetings for employees.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Demonstrates a high customer-service and support personality who has a strength in educating others towards best practices and creating enhanced solutions targeted towards business goals; forward thinking, with the ability to be discrete with confidential information, who is able to be collaborative and resourceful; self-motivated, able to work independently and within teams; excellent with managing time and getting things done.

Other Important Information:     

Pay/Salary:  Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: President                                                                                                                        

Core Hours:   8:00 am 5:00 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8-9 hours within this timeframe)

Typical Work Week:  M-F; 40-45 hours a week on average

Direct Reports:  0

Travel:   1x per quarter to Indianapolis Office
