What You'll Do:

As the Final Inspection Associate you will perform a final validation of the part to ensure all customer and quality specifications are met prior to shipment to the Customer.

Your Accountabilities:

  • Performs final inspection on parts to ensure product meets customer and quality requirements.
  • Reports any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision.
  • Validates all Customer quality requirements have been met by reviewing in-process inspection, assembly, and test records documentation.
  • Documents packages for presentation of customer and ensures the work order amounts and final product delivery match.
  • Prepares and maintains inspection records and documentation, accurately and timely.
  • Performs a wide variety of final inspection duties as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; may consider equivalent course work with proven experience for the right individual.
  • Experience: 2-3+ years of experience with final inspection within a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Certification(s): None
  • Functional Skills: Ability to utilize basic hand tools as needed for inspection. Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, procedures, and work instructions along with the ability to read material analysis/testing, compare to specifications and report on deviations. Strong attention to detail is also needed.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication to document part variances as needed.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: High Safety minded with a strong work ethic and values, focused on the customer, quality, and accuracy, takes the time to do things right yet is flexible to cross-train and move to other priorities throughout the department.
  • Culture Match Behaviors: Ambitious, conscientious, likes to work in a team environment with the ability to collaborate with others. A person who can listen to others, learn quickly, and be independent to get the job done.

Pay Programs: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise!

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Core Hours: Day Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Afternoon Shift: 2:00 pm -10:30pm Night Shift: 10 pm - 6:30 am

Typical Work Week: M-F; some weekends required; 40 45 hours a week on average.

Direct Reports: N/A; Works with other departments as needed.

Travel: None

Work Conditions: The employee is routinely exposed to an office environment as well as regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise. The employee is regularly required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment such as slip on met guard safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear plugs. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The environmental climate is heated in the winter and hot in the summer. Lifting up to 50 lbs. sporadically is also needed.
