Line Operator/Assembler

This role is located in Nappanee, Indiana.

Starting pay is $18-28 per hour plus potential bonus. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

What You'll Do:

As the Line Operator/Assembler, you will cut, assemble, and inspect all aspects of the trailers to ensure they are meeting blue print specifications and exceeding customer and business standards.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Cuts extrusion metal for frames and sidewalls based on specifications, ensuring accuracy and that quality of materials is meeting standards.
  • Paints steel trailers following standard procedures to ensure quality of work.
  • Assembles flooring, electrical wiring, AC/ Heating components, lighting, doors, cabinets, decals, and all other components and accessories based on blue print specifications.
  • Caulks, cleans, weighs, and inspects the trailers to ensure they are meeting or exceeding customer expectations and ready for delivery.
  • Elevates any safety, quality, delivery, inventory, & production issues that arise to the Team Lead and works with their team to solve problems that arise.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/ GED equivalency or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in trailer/large manufacturing assembly; will train the right person who is mechanically inclined and possesses solid collaborative behaviors
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Functional Skills: Basic mechanical skills; welding experience would be a plus but not necessary. Comfortable with operating hand power tools. High attention to detail with an ability to read, understand, and apply procedures, specifications, and blue prints. Basic math and counting skills are required. Critical thinking to solve issues independently or getting assistance to ensure accuracy is key.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Starting pay is $18-28 per hour plus potential bonus. Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Team Lead

Core Hours: 5:00 am 1:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional Saturdays are required (when applicable); typically, 40 hours a week on average
