What You'll Do: 

As the Accounting Assistant, you will review, validate and process day-to-day Accounting and administrative work to ensure completeness, on-time and error free delivery to help support the business and meet financial goals.  


Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Process, review and validate AP bills, Accounting entries and Journal entries ensuring they are done in an accurate, high-quality and timely manner.
  • Review expense reports, ensuring accurate coding and processing based on Company policy.
  • Process weekly reporting and distribution to the respective management team members to help support business goals.
  • Administer thorough inventory review and tracking to verify accurate inventory information is maintained within the system.
  • Review and maintain fixed assets, including a depreciation schedule, to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Assist in completing the month-end close process for accurate and on-time delivery of financials.

Position Requirements: 

  • Education: BS degree in Accounting preferred; will consider someone with an Associate Degree in Accounting and/or related experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of Accounting experience performing basic AP, AR and Journal entry functions. Knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance is essential.
  • Certification(s): CPA not required but is a plus.
  • Functional Skills: High attention to detail; ability to plan, prioritize and complete work accurately and on-time; strong basic math skills; highly process-oriented; ability to research tax laws for application in the organization.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with QuickBooks, ERP systems, Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other software programs.
  • Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills; able to train others. English and Mandarin Chinese (putong hua) reading and speaking ability is required Chinese as a first language is preferred.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Strong initiative to work independently, data-focused, supportive of the team, strong with processes and compliance; able to adapt to multicultural work environment; willingness to assist with temporary projects assigned; solid problem-solver who can figure things out or come with suggestions; solution-oriented; has a sense of urgency to get things done.

Other Important Information:     


Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.


 And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!


Reports To:     Controller/Head of Finance Department

Typical Work Week:  M-F; some weekends required (when applicable); 40 hours a week on average

Direct Reports:    None

Work Conditions:  Office / Manufacturing environments

Travel:  Limited for work related errands
