What You'll Do:

As the Inventory/Tool Room Specialist, you will handle and coordinate the inbound/outbound inventory, storage and kitting of maintenance components to ensure material is available to meet maintenance schedules and inventory levels.

Your Accountabilities in The Role:

  1. Manages inbound / outbound spare parts and tool room inventory, ensuring accurate parts received and performing regularly scheduled cycle counts to ensure the integrity of the inventory.
  2. Research inventory variances, determine root cause, and recommend solutions to management.
  3. Reviews maintenance schedule and prepares kits in advance for machine repair to pre-stage for increased efficiency with the process. Expedites material as needed.
  4. Works directly with vendors to get quotes and qualify them based on Company parameters. Handles any returns or quality issues with vendors to resolve quickly.
  5. Works with Purchasing Administrator on ordering thresholds, timing, vendor selections, qualifications, etc. for constant value in cost and quality.
  6. Ensures area is organized and stock is easy to locate based on frequency of use for efficiencies.

Position Requirements:

  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; may consider equivalent course work or experience in the maintenance area or component/stocking areas.
  2. Experience: 3+ years' working knowledge of hydraulics, bearings, valves, and similar components used in a heavy equipment industry; inventory or stockroom experience is also required.
  3. Certification(s): Forklift certification helpful but will train.
  4. Functional Skills:  Knowledge of inventory processes, cycle counts, with a high attention to detail and organization, along with an ability to research inventory variances and provide solutions.  Ability to read and understand documents, procedures, and specifications for accurate receiving.  This role also requires good math skills as well as strong prioritization and time management skills, with an ability to multi-task and problem-solve issues quickly as they arise.
  5. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic PC skills is required. Solid Word and Excel skills for communication and managing large amounts of data.
  6. Language Skills: Solid written and verbal communication skills
  7. Leadership/Behaviors: Ability to work independently, high focus on quality; collaborative; requires someone who is flexible, strong negotiation and networking skills to work with vendors; agile and able to move with shifting priorities to meet maintenance needs.

Other Important Information:     

Position Status & Salary: Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 - $28.00 / hr. based on proven skills!

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor and Purchasing Administrator                         

Core Hours: Monday through Friday; 7:00 am 3:00pm (flexible on schedule; can be 6 2:00 pm or 8 4:00 pm) Some weekend work may be required based on needs.


Work Conditions: Ability to push/lift up to 50 lbs.; will drive forklifts and scissor lifts to stock and deliver kits
