What You'll Do:

As the Facility Services Tech, you will perform various tasks to ensure facility cleanliness, neatness, and order.


Your Accountabilities:

  • Performs frequent cleansing of all manufacturing floors utilizing various equipment (i.e., floor scrubber, sweeper, mop, etc.) to ensure floor is safe, clean, and neat.
  • Performs cleaning and painting activities as needed in or outside of the facility to ensure areas are clean, fresh, and presentable.
  • Collects, picks up, and removes trash in all areas of the building (inside or outside of building) to ensure a clean and neat facility appearance.
  • Handles the cleanup of hazardous spills, following all health and safety regulations, as needed.
  • Performs snow removal activities as needed.
  • Performs minor building repairs and notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs as needed.
  • Carries out heavy cleansing tasks or special projects as requested.

Position Requirements:

  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; may consider equivalent course work with proven experience for the right individual.
  2. Experience: 1 + year of prior janitorial experience needed, prior sweeper/scrubber and forklift experience helpful.
  3. Certification(s): N/A
  4. Functional Skills: Ability to operate various floor cleaning equipment (sweeper, scrubber, walk behind scrubber) and forklift, must be detailed and organized with an ability to wash walls, paint, and collect/pick up or remove trash as required. Ability to utilize manual cleaning equipment (mop, broom, etc.) and clean up hazardous spills safely.
  5. Technology Aptitude/Skills: N/A
  6. Language Skills: Basic verbal and written communication.
  7. Leadership/Behaviors: High Safety minded with a strong work ethic and values, focused on the customer, quality, and accuracy, takes the time to do things right yet is flexible to cross-train and move to other priorities throughout the department.
  8. Culture Match Behaviors: Ambitious, conscientious, likes to work in a team environment with the ability to collaborate with others. A person who can listen to others, learn quickly, and be independent to get the job done.

Other Important Information:

Pay Programs: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise!

Reports To: Facility Services Lead

Core Hours: Day Shift - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Work Conditions:

  • The employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise. The employee is regularly required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment such as slip on, inner, metatarsal safety-toed shoes, face shield, helmet, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear plugs.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to cleaning supplies, moving mechanical parts, and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be occasionally exposed to hazardous materials. The environmental climate is heated in the winter and hot in the summer.
