What You'll Do:

As the Human Resource Manager, you will manage and administer the HR practices, policies, and programs to ensure direct alignment to integrated business and team member goals for mutual success.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Manages and administers the Human Resource policies and employee relation activities focused on the goals of the organization along with the needs of the team members for a balanced approach.
  • Researches, recommends and executes on new or enhanced Human Resource practices, policies processes, ensuring effective implementation, compliance, and smooth communication to all team members of the organization.
  • Manages the effective recruitment and subsequent development of employees through targeted recruiting, orientation, coordination of training and performance development processes to promote employee engagement and retention.
  • Manages and executes on priority HR projects targeted towards specific business goals to support the attainment of key measurables.
  • Handles day to day relations with employees and supervisors to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees within the organization through effective EEO and other related HR policies for positive influence and resolution of daily employee issues as they arise.
  • Manages the compensation and benefit processes, vendor communications, and system enhancements to ensure accuracy in processing and quick resolution on employee, billing or claim issues.
  • Ensures legal compliance in the Human Resource related practices, policies and programs through continuous research, monitoring, recommendations, and implementation of applicable requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, or HR preferred; may consider an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in an HR generalist or manager role; will train the right person.
  • Certification(s): SHRM-CP or PHR preferred - or willing to obtain
  • Functional Skills: Excellent skills in researching, creating, and executing activities and programs; ability to find the facts and create solutions; solid math skills; goal-focused; great with priorities, organizing, time management, multi-tasking, and follow through; strong relational skills but also able to focus on data as well to make decisions. Excellent ability to listen and provide logical, credible guidance calmly.
  • Problem-Solving: Must possess the ability to consistently and accurately apply pre-established policies; able to consult and make quick, sound decisions in critical situations; creative and conceptual thinker who can create processes to drive the business.
  • Accountability: Administrative/Conceptual integration of activities; diverse in nature; following a defined set of guidelines.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Solid ability with technology and systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with payroll systems.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills; able to present to individuals and groups; able to provide HR training to others in human resources policies/discipline areas.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-driven; proactive approach to tasks; able to relate to people at all levels and show empathy; reliable team member, high level of personal and professional integrity, compliance-oriented, assertive, innovative mindset; able to consistently produce high-quality work and deliver exceptional service; can manage conflict situations well; discrete with confidential information.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Core Hours: 5:00 am 4:00 pm (typical work hours for this role are 7:00 am 4:00 pm with extra hours as needed)

Typical Work Week: M-F; some Saturdays are required (when applicable); typically, 45 hours a week on average
