What You'll Do:

As the Assembly/Machine Operator, you will assemble parts and operate machinery to ensure products are created on-time, complete, and error-free.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Counts products to ensure accuracy for the customer, as well as maintain good inventory and expense control.
  • Ensures all parts are within specifications as described in processes. Advises management if not to ensure parts are returned for replacement/credit.
  • Handles the assembly, sorting, and programming of the various products in an efficient and accurate way, following documented procedures.
  • Places screws and soldering in an accurate and precise way to efficiently complete the parts.
  • Confirms and applies appropriate labels on the products in a specific location to identify completed product.
  • Ensures all parts are tested for quality and delivers to final inspection (where applicable) for a reliable, on-time quality product delivered to customers each and every time.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: A high school diploma, or the equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of small piece assembly and inspection work.
  • Certifications: n/a
  • Functional Skills: Basic math and counting skills, detail-oriented, precise, and accurate in their work; high attention to quality. Able to read, comprehend, and retain work instructions, and able to work with small piece work at a good speed. Is able to prioritize and be flexible to move from job to job as priorities change. Must have ability to operate assembly equipment, hand tools, screw guns, etc.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Ability to use tablets/PCs to review procedures and enter data.
  • Language Skills: Able to read/write/speak English fluently; communicates in a positive way.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-directed, highly motivated, with the ability to be a solid team player, work well with others and take advice/mentoring well.
  • Culture Match Behaviors: Respectful of team members and policies, goal and customer-focused; has the ability to stay focused on quality, as well as being efficient to produce a high level of output on the job. Requires an excellent work ethic with the abiltiy to learn and problem-solve.

Other Important Information:

Position Salary: Hourly position; Pay is negotiable based on years of experience.

Reports To: Operations Manager Electronic Controls

Core Hours: 6:00 am 2:30 pm; Monday through Friday

Typical Work Week: M-F; some weekends & OT required (when applicable); 40 + hours per week

Direct Reports: None

Work Conditions: Must have abiltiy to stand all day, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, and lift up to 30 lbs sporadically to move product.
