What You'll Do:

As the Specialty Trades Associate, you will cut, assemble, install plumbing, perform electrical work, and inspect all aspects of the trailers to ensure they are meeting blue print specifications and exceeding customer and business standards.

Various Positions & Role Accountabilities:

  • Cuts extrusion metal for frames and sidewalls based on specifications, ensuring material meets specifications
  • Welds the frame, side walls, top, and other frame components, ensuring accuracy of welds and placement.
  • Drills access points and assembles electrical wiring, within the trailer, ensuring accuracy to specifications.
  • Assembles walls, flooring, roofing, and insulation, while also performing special cutting, to meet the specifications outlined.
  • Prepares parts, doors, etc. and installs batteries, control panels, AC/Heating components, lighting, doors, cabinets, decals, and all other components and accessories.
  • Installs plumbing, piping and fixtures in line with specifications, regulations, and defined materials.
  • Installs cabinetry based on the blue prints, ensuring exact fit and aesthetics for a professional, finished look.
  • Installs lighting, switches, and 110 outlets, with fuse panel and breaker box, validating the work meets specification, regulations, and functionality.
  • Paints steel trailers following standard procedures to ensure quality of work.
  • Installs metal sheeting, trim, accessories, and doors, inside and out, ensuring an accurate fit and an aesthetic look.
  • Installs decals and caulking to eliminate leaks and prepare for delivery.
  • Weighs and inspects the trailers to ensure high-quality, meeting or exceeding customer expectations, and ready for delivery.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred; will consider those with some high school and transferrable skills/experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in trailer, construction, carpentry, or large equipment operation preferred; will train the right person who is mechanically inclined, can work with standard variances, utilizing common saws, drills and specialized hand tools. Sawing, welding, wiring, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or cabinetry skills preferred but will also train the right person!
  • Functional Skills: Basic mechanical skills or abilities; high attention to detail with an ability to read, understand, and apply procedures, specifications, and blue prints. Basic math and counting skills are required. Critical thinking to solve issues independently or getting assistance to ensure accuracy is important. Ability to self-inspect work and make corrections prior to moving the trailer to the next point. Will teach in other higher skilled areas, as needed.
  • Language Skills: Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated to stay focused on quality and output goals; strong work ethic and values, dependable, focused on the customer and processes; high level of accuracy with the flexibility to move to priorities throughout the operation areas, following all Safety requirements.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Starting pay is $18-32 per hour plus potential bonus! Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!


Relocation Bonus available for those moving from another area!

Reports To: Team Lead

Core Hours: 5:00 am 1:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional Saturdays are required (when applicable); typically, 40 hours a week on average
