What You'll Do:

As the 3D Image Scanning Technician Intern, you will assist in the 3D image scanning and delivery processes of client buildings, ensuring the project scope, budget, timelines and overall business & client goals are met.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • You will participate in an overview on the project to understand the scope, the what and why, billable hours, client contact, etc.
  • You will assist and provide input to the team to ensure a successful process.
  • Youwillpreparetravelandassetsforthetripbasedontheprojectscopeandarriveearlytoensureasuccessful event at the client's
  • You will meet with the client (along with your Mentor) to get an overview of the building(s)and to review the project for clear expectations on both
  • You will take pictures/video scans of the building(s) based on the scope of the project and following the process to ensure the work is done
  • YouwillcommunicatebacktotheProjectTeamasneededtoensureclarityandKeepsgoodnotes on the project for a successful process.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field; or will consider someone with an Associate's Degree (or equivalent) and related experience
  • Experience: 1+ years of 3D laser scanning experience preferred; will accept someone who has land or other surveying experience OR has a passion for 3D technology and can work well with others!
  • Functional Skills: Strongcomputerskillswithinterestin3Dtechnology;enjoysbeingmobileandmovingfrom job to job; able to follow a defined process; able to problem-solve independently; makes suggestions where they see areas to
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experience operating Faro, Leica, NavVis, or Matterport 3D Laser scanners would be a
  • Language Skills: Solid verbal and basic written communication skills to work with the team and
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Customer focused; professional, polite and kind; can work independently and with teams at the client sites and business locations; high attention to quality and

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

Reports To: Director of Operations

Core Hours: 8am 5pm (schedule can be flexible based on college commitments)

Typical Work Week: M-F; a few weekend projects (not many

Travel: Some paid travel where possible; most clients are in the region
