What You'll Do:

As the Sales Representative for Windows and Doors, you will handle preparing accurate quotes, assisting with customer questions, and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure customer requests are processed in an error-free, timely manner.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • You will handle qualifying customers for service, reviewing specification sheets and blueprints, and selecting product options for accurate quotes and quick turnaround on customer requests.
  • You will prepare thorough quotes using appropriate software ensuring accurate data entry for smooth project completion by team members, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • You will handle incoming customer questions, order confirmations, order updates, change orders, and back orders ensuring proactive, seamless customer communications.
  • You will assist with walk-in customers on the showroom floor to help educate them on available products and drive departmental sales.
  • You will follow documented process flows and intuitively apply on-the-job learning as situations arise for consistent departmental quoting and continued growth in role.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: A HS Diploma or GED preferred; will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience required; blueprint reading skills a plus. Will train the right person.
  • Functional Skills: Excellent ability to prioritize and multi-task with strong attention to details and follow through; basic understanding of rulers and measurements; able to follow instructions and apply documented processes; common sense approach to tasks with a willingness to learn about the products and take initiative; solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Technology Skills: Advanced MS Office required; CRM skills preferred.
  • Other Behaviors: Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team environment; excellent interpersonal skills with clear communication; collaborative, flexible, and adaptable to change; able to remain calm and maintain focus in fast-paced work environment. Strong customer focus and supportive of a team; able to handle multiple projects and work outside comfort zone to learn and grow; highly accountable, responsible, and dependable.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Sales Manager

Core Hours: 8 am - 5 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; some OT required; 40-45 hours a week on average
