What You'll Do:

As the Escrow Officer, you will plan, coordinate, prepare, and present closing information and paperwork to ensure a complete, comprehensive, and customer-focused closing for each and every client.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Coordinates activities with the various lenders to get the information needed for the closings in an accurate and courteous way.
  • Partners with the other departments to ensure settlement statements are completed on time, accurately, and completely.
  • Reviews and sends information to the lender and collects final closing packet information to meet the closing due date.
  • Reviews and finalizes final closing packet, ensuring completeness for each meeting.
  • Meets with clients and lenders, reviewing the paperwork in a comprehensive, concise, and courteous manner.
  • Scans documents and disburses appropriate checks to vendors and clients in an accurate and timely way.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in the realty, mortgage, or title industry preferred; will consider experience in executive administration and/or customer service (ie. wait staff, department store staff, or similar field)
  • Functional Skills: Basic math and critical thinking skills to work through the process; strong attention to detail, with excellent organization, prioritizing, and time management skills; excellent problem-solving skills and follow through skills to get things done well and on time.
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Technology Aptitude/Other: Solid PC and Microsoft skills
  • Language Skills: Advanced communication skills to provide information, instruction, and present documents well. Bilingual in English and Spanish would be a plus
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent customer-focus, collaboration, and team-focus; positive personality, and high energy / assertiveness to keep things moving is required.
  • Culture of the area: Highly-driven, high-energy group based on time-sensitive transactions; can work well within the team and independently.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

  • And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Escrow Manager

Core Hours: 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; 40-45 hours a week on average
