What You'll Do:

As the Sourcing Specialist, you will research, plan, source, and ensure delivery on various parts and supplies to ensure quality materials, on-time delivery, cost effectiveness, and production continuity.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Collaborates with Engineers and sources suppliers for new parts based on new specifications, ensuring a high quality, accurate product that falls within the cost and delivery parameters.
  • Performs contract and Supplier Agreement negotiations with new suppliers to ensure quality, delivery and pricing meets ATC standards.
  • Handles parts and supplier issues and works with vendors to resolve in a complete and timely way.
  • Partners and develops key supplier relationships to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Reviews and maintains the Supplier Management system ensuring quality vendor performance, alternative partner vendors in various markets, and data is up to date. Advises management on any significant variances.
  • Collaborates with other areas of the business to continually enhance the Supply Chain process.
  • Develops and maintains complete and up-to-date files on all activity, agreements, and contact information for ease of processes.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain or similar field preferred; will consider a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 2 + years of sourcing, buying, or purchasing within a manufacturing, trailer, auto or RV industry preferred. Experience working within a mid to large company working with new products and managing many various parts and supplies required. Familiar with ISO:9001 Supplier requirements would be a plus.
  • Certification(s): PPAP experience is a plus (Pre-production approval process)
  • Functional Skills: Proven ability to research, analyze, plan and execute on sourcing initiatives. Excellent organization and analytical skills, with strong prioritization skills to meet timelines and goals. Strong attention to detail and processes; can understand blue prints and specification; solid forward-thinking to create a smooth supply chain process with production continuity; able to manage by data points and KPI's.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills, especially with Excel. Familiar with ERP systems, electronic KanBan and inventory systems.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with varying vendors.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Strong customer-focus and ability to work independently; advanced ability to collaborate, network and negotiate; able to manage conflict well; able to build/maintain vendor relationships; strong ability to listen, respond professionally, and influence individuals; proactive to ensure processes and problems are being managed well.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Sourcing Manager

Core Hours: 7:00 am 4:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional Saturdays (when applicable); typically, 40-45 hours a week on average

Travel: Limited; Up to 10%
