What You'll Do:

As the Director of Operations, you will research, define, plan, track, manage, and lead the Operations of the business, ensuring all customer goals, P&L goals, and other objectives are met or exceeded.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Researches, develops, plans, and implements new initiatives, processes, and systems, in partnership with Sales, the CEO, and network partners to continually enhance the sales, market position, and effectiveness of the team.
  • Reviews Sales Orders and develops the project scope, schedules, and cost estimates to ensure customer and P&L goals are achieved.
  • Allocates resources and manages the projects from start to finish, ensuring customer specifications, project scope objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Leads weekly team meetings to ensure priorities are established with the team, important information is provided to all areas of the business, and projects are on track.
  • Leads, mentors, educates, coaches, and celebrates the Project team to continually grow the team and the business.
  • Manages day to day obstacles and conflict in a way that educates, holds team members accountable, and resolves issues in a practical and healthy manner. Ensures the team is healthy, functional, and cohesive.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: An Associate's Degree or Certificate in Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive and proven Project Management and Leadership experience within a related LIDAR and CAD/BIM reality capture industry, civil engineering, geographic information system management, architectural project industry, virtual design and construction, land surveying, or construction management industry; previous experience managing projects required. Experience in developing project estimates, surveying, and project scoping is also required.
  • Certification(s): N/A
  • Functional Skills: Advanced technical aptitude to manage high-technology equipment projects, with the ability to research, plan, organize, and execute on projects that achieve or exceed P&L goals are required; Advanced skills in managing multiple priorities and projects, time management, delegation, and follow through; forward-thinking; strong attention to details. Strong ability to read, analyze, and to interpret complex documents, prints, and data; ability to problem-solve, manage conflict, and make sound and rational decisions while exercising independent judgment. Strength in math and managing to budgets and due dates.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe skills. Experience with NavVIs mapping and navigation is desired.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present, mentor, and educate others on a regular basis.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Customer-focused and dependable, with enthusiasm and passion for the high-tech industry; highly professional with a high level of integrity to live the core values. Strength in servant leadership skills requiring a high ability to listen, mentor, coach, celebrate, and influence others to meet project goals; steady yet assertive to move projects forward; innovative and creative, with excellent, open and respectful collaboration skills to create buy-in.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: CEO/ President

Core Hours: 8am 5pm, with additional hours as needed

Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional weekend work and overnights; 45-50 hours a week on average

Direct Reports: 8 Operational team members

Travel: Approximately 25% to customer locations/trade shows
