Position Status & Salary: Hourly pay ranges based on proven skills!

  • Plus, a performance bonus opportunity of $200-$300 per quarter. With a Starting Bonus of $50 first week, $100 for the first month, $200 on 2nd month, $300 on 3rd month.

What You'll Do:

As the Tool & Die Maker, you will create the tool & die and other parts needed in an accurate, timely and effective way to meet production schedules.

Your Accountabilities in The Role:

  1. Reviews the designs and prints from Engineering to create the tool or die in an accurate, timely and effective way.
  2. Cuts, drills, and assembles tool and die parts in a precise way, using gauges to ensure accuracy.
  3. Troubleshoots obstacles with tools or dies and makes repairs in a high-quality and timely way.
  4. Inspects, sharpens, and cleans fixtures, tools, and dies on a continual basis to minimize downtime of machines.
  5. Reviews common obstacles and provides feedback to Engineering to enhance the tool and die design.
  6. Supports the Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to pass on information and ensure high-quality and safe manufacturing of parts.
  7. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe workspace for the team.

Position Requirements:

  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; may consider equivalent course work or experience.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of direct experience in tool and die making/repairing required. Experience with operating large CNC machines, robotic machines, and large presses to test new parts. Ability to program CNC machines would be a plus. Hydraulic and pneumatic experience would also be helpful but not required.
  3. Certification(s): Tool & Die certification preferred but not required.
  4. Functional Skills: Excellent ability to read blue prints, drawings, and processes to create high quality parts. Strong mechanical ability to operate various machinery, tools, MIG welders, and other equipment. Strong in the ability to understand and use decimals, fractions, and tolerances, along with gauges. Requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving, with an ability to prioritize and use time effectively.
  5. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic PC skills is required.
  6. Language Skills: Solid written and verbal communication skills
  7. Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent customer and results focused. Able to work independently, professionally, and be collaborative with various teams; high quality and safety minded. Shows pride in their work and work behaviors. High attention paid on a "Job Well Done".

Reports To: Project Engineer

Core Hours: Monday through Thursday; 5:00 am 3:30pm; and 9:00 pm 7:00 am (Sun night through Wed night) OT typically on the next day; Saturdays would be rare. Typically, overtime is voluntary but at times can be mandatory.

Travel: n/a

Work Conditions: Clean manufacturing environment with large equipment, moderate noise, lifting up to 40 lbs.
