Packaging Associate - Will Train the Right Person!

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00/hr. based on experience; plus, attendance and performance bonuses!

What You'll Do:

As a Packaging Associate, you will assemble and prepare all materials accurately and efficiently based on customer specifications.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • You will assemble and prepare packaging boxes and materials, following specifications and due dates.
  • You will break down bulk materials or pre-packaged bags into smaller packages, for order restocking based on specific customer orders or part numbers.
  • You will count parts needed from bulk materials for each packaged stock order ensuring that they are accurate.
  • You will repackage orders for the customer without defects, tears or take appropriate action to resolve to ensure orders match specifications.
  • You will confirm package is labeled correctly with accurate customer/part numbers and is accurately stored in designated warehouse locations to ensure it is easy to locate.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or the equivalent; will consider a combination of education or experience.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of packaging experience; will train the right person with great work ethic and energy.
  • Certification(s): n/a
  • Functional Skills: Basic reading, math and excellent counting skills; detail-oriented, precise and accurate in their work. Ability to read, learn, and understand documents, procedures and specifications, along with ability to match part numbers accurately. Able to follow instructions, package efficiently, perform work at a good pace, and be flexible to perform a variety of duties.
  • Technology Skills: Ability to operate general equipment; light hand tools, rolling cart, forklift, and pallet jack. Operating a Forklift is a plus but not required.
  • Language Skills: Able to read, comprehend, and retain work instructions or complete the paperwork well with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Strong work ethic and values, focused on the customer, quality parts, and safety.
  • Culture Match: Strong focus on the customer; can work independently and with teams; gets help and provides help as needed.

Other Important Information:

Position Status and Salary: Hourly position with competitive pay and potential performance and attendance incentives as you do well!

  • And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Core Hours: 7:30 am 4:00 pm; Monday through Friday; will consider full or part-time within those hours.

Typical Work Week: 20 hours to 40 hours per week on average, flexible schedule can work a part-time schedule at a minimum of 20+ hours a week or full time (typically 40 hour week); Mon-Fri; some Saturdays on occasion as needed

Work Conditions: Ability to stand continually, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently to move and breakdown product.
