What You'll Do:

As the Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, planning, designing and managing the electrical and related systems/products used within the RV/Trailers to create enhanced, reliable, robust and easy to use systems for our customers.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  1. Develops a vision and roadmap for an electrical systems architecture and synthesizes a plan to ensure the department is able to execute effectively to meet or exceed business goals.
  2. Leads the design of green initiatives in trailer design that are innovative, energy efficient, and result in a positive impact to the environment and business.
  3. Works with the Engineering Team, Manufacturing, and Sales & Marketing teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver manufacturable solutions with a goal of increasing profit and market share.
  4. Contributes to new business initiatives and projects to ensure impact on quality & efficiency activities is communicated effectively.
  5. Collaborates across engineering teams to solve electrical systems engineering challenges quickly to minimize impact on customers.
  6. Leads, mentors, and coaches the team to think critically and to proactively suggest improvements that lead to cost savings that benefit both ATC and the customer.
  7. Co-leads, with R&D, the development of standards and trade-off curves that positively impact ATCs ability to meet customer and business needs.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; will consider a combination of course work and experience.
  • Experience: 5 + years of electrical engineering experience, with 3+ years of product development experience in a systems environment used within an automotive, specialty vehicle, or related industry preferred.
  • Certification(s):
  • Functional Skills: Strength in the design, development, and implementation of enhanced electrical products, components, and systems; strong detail orientation with excellent researching, planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills are required to work effectively in managing various projects. Must be able to take initiative, be forward-thinking, and make solid decisions focused on the goals of the organization. Excellent math and problem-solving skills are necessary to effectively enhance the manufacturing areas.
  • Problem-Solving: Will use broad guidelines and objectives to research, develop, problem-solve, and decide on a Plan of Action.
  • Accountability: Operational/Conceptual integration of activities; diverse in nature; direct impact to business goals.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office experience required along with common CAD (preferably Solidworks), office and software development tools.
  • Language Skills: Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to present to groups and train others in product features. Able to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts in simple, effective terms.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-driven; results-focused. Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team. Strategic Thinker to proactively anticipate needs and deliver adaptive and sustainable solutions. High-quality minded individual; meticulous with work and safety focused. Able to effectively direct/establish new systems, policies, procedures for a department. Strong collaboration/influencing skills are needed to effectively partner with others, listen to ideas, and implement the best enhancements. Ability to be positive, conceptualize and move forward with projects that are viable and cost effective is also important in this role.

Pay/Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. And, there is also Profit Sharing to reward a "job well done"!

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: VP of Engineering

Core Hours: 7:00 am 5:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; few weekends; typically, 40 -45 hours a week on average
