What You'll Do:

As the Safety Coordinator, you will review, plan, and administer the Company safety policies and initiatives, as well as other reporting, tracking, and resolution of employee accidents to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Reviews, administers and trains on safety policies and initiatives to ensure a continually safe and compliant workplace.
  • Performs daily walk-throughs to monitor, mentor, and enhance safety practices throughout the various locations.
  • Coordinates and handles all safety investigations to ensure timely and accurate reporting of employee accidents, as well as ensuring corrective actions are established for ongoing resolution.
  • Maintains records of safety-related incidents and establishes training protocols and other initiatives on repetitive situations.
  • Updates and maintains OSHA reporting data to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Handles, maintains and updates Driver DOT screenings, logs, accident reporting, and other information to ensure safety and compliance for our drivers and related team members.
  • Participates in safety related regulatory meetings to stay up-to-date on changes within the law and industry.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: An Associate's Degree in Industrial Safety, Operations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of safety experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Certification(s): N/A
  • Functional Skills: High attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work on-time and accurately; forward thinker with advanced problem-solving, follow-through and ability to analyze and determine facts; good time management skills; highly process-oriented.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to train others.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Customer-focused, supportive mindset; strong initiative to work independently, data-focused yet also good with people, strong with processes and compliance; collaborative and solid problem-solver who can figure things out or come with suggestions and enhancements; has a sense of urgency to get things done well and on-time.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Director of Facilities

Core Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional Saturdays (when applicable); typically, 40-45 hours a week on average

Travel: Limited

Work Conditions: Office environment
