What You'll Do:
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will learn concepts and skills to become a certified licensed electrician, while applying those skills on the job. The training will be in a classroom, as well as hands-on job experience, to help support the day to day project work.
Your Accountabilities In The Role:
- Installs conduit within designated partitions or concealed areas, following specifications.
- Pulls insulated wires or cable through conduit, ensuring work is done accurately and following the processes.
- Connects motors, circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, ensuring accurate parts and safe placement.
- Assists in the repair or replacement of wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, fiber-optic, and other electrical parts, ensuring a high-level of quality work in line with specifications.
- Helps to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, with direct supervision.
- Tests equipment and parts to ensure continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Maintains a clean work area, tools, and vehicle to maintain our reputation.
- Reads, follows, and complies with all national, state and local electrical/building codes to ensure a safe finished project.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required for the field of work.
- Experience: 0-3+ years of experience in a mechanical, industrial, electrical, construction or similar field preferred; solid mechanical skills are required. Experience with large equipment would be a plus.
- Certifications: NA
- Functional Skills: Solid mechanical and math aptitude to learn and apply electrical processes; ability to read blue prints and schematics, while also following directions; can analyze drawings to identify locations of current electrical systems; able to use power drills, drill presses, tapes, saws, and ladders/scaffolds; high attention to detail and follow through of work; is able to think through a situation to determine solutions; is highly organized.
- Technology Skills: Basic computer skills
- Language Skills: Solid verbal skillset; able to communicate and ask for help; able to see where people need help and jump in.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Self-starter, who can learn things easily; high attention to quality of work and safety; has a logical personality who is calm and balanced in their approach; energetic yet listens well to others to get things right; can plan ahead, be adaptable and flexible to meet the work priorities.

Other Important Information:
Position Status & Salary: $15-18/hr. Starting pay; Hourly pay with steady overtime and opportunity for raises.
And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Reports To: Foreman
Core Hours: Monday - Friday and some weekend work (avg of 50+ hrs/wk)
Typical Work Week: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm typically; with OT on Saturdays (some Sunday work but not often)
Travel: Travel to customer locations within one hour from the facility (will need transportation)
Work Conditions: Out in the field at various customer locations, typically within 1 hour of the office in Etna Green; will work in heat, cold, around moving parts, at higher levels, and with medium voltage electric. Will work with forklifts, hoists, and boom-scissor lifts. Will stand for 8+ hours a day.
