What You'll Do:

As the Accountant, you will plan, review, validate, and process day to day Accounting and administrative work to ensure completeness, on-time, and error free delivery to help support the business and meet financial goals.


Your Accountabilities in The Role:

  • Reviews, validates, and processes AP and AR, along with Accounting/Journal entries to ensure complete, on-time and error free processing.
  • Reviews and processes warranty credits, non-inventory purchases, and other items, following specific guidelines and done in a high-quality/timely way.
  • Handles and processes weekly reporting and distribution to the respective Managers to help support the business. Runs reports to ensure processes are up to date.
  • Handles the travel and expense processing, along with Credit Card reconciliation, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with the process. Trains team members on the processes for accurate and timely filing as needed.
  • Reviews and maintains fixed assets, with a depreciation schedule, to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Assists in completing the month-end close process for accurate and on-time delivery of financials.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: BS degree in Accounting preferred; will consider someone with an Associate's Degree in Accounting and related experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of Accounting experience performing basic AP, AR, and journal entry functions in a manufacturing environment required. Knowledge of GAAP and corporate tax compliance is important. Payroll experience would be a plus.
  • Certification(s): CPA not required but is a plus.
  • Functional Skills: High attention to detail; ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work on-time and accurately; strong basic math and journal entry skills; highly process-oriented; ability to research tax laws and policies to ensure high accuracy in application in the organization. Demonstrates exceptional follow through to ensure all financials are balancing and completed well.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office (especially with Excel), and other software programs.
  • Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills; able to train others.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Strong initiative to work independently, data-focused, supportive of the team, strong with processes and compliance; solid problem-solver who can figure things out; solution-oriented; has a sense of urgency to get things done on-time and well.
  • Culture Match Behaviors: Respectful of team members and policies, goal and customer-focused; has the ability to stay focused on quality, as well as being efficient to produce a high level of output on the job. Requires an excellent work ethic with the ability to learn and problem-solve.

Position Status & Salary: Salary Position, plus bonuses! Pay is negotiable based on years of experience.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Core Hours: 8:00 - 4:30 pm; Some weekend work occasionally
