What You'll Do:

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for various activities in the production and finishing departments, specifically with weeding excess material and hand-setting orders in an on-time, complete, and error-free way.


Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Receives and reviews the job assignment tickets or blueprints to understand project and customer specifications.
  • Pre-webs, applies tape/backing (where applicable), and inspects the first sheet for nicks or cuts to ensure it aligns with the customer specifications. Obtain approval to proceed with remaining quantity.
  • Continually inspects, repairs, removes excess material (weeds), sorts, and stacks material to ensure a quality product.
  • Performs a final count of finished product and stamps any final decals as necessary for adherence to customer specifications.
  • Completes production records and material tags after the production run, ensuring complete, accurate and thorough information.
  • Rolls and/or places the finished material into a secure container/box to ensure the deliverance of a high-quality product.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area for efficient processes.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 0-1+ years of related production assembly and inspection experience preferred; will train the right person.
  • Certification(s): N/A
  • Functional Skills: This role requires a high attention to detail with an ability to read and understand documents, procedures and specifications/blueprints, along with the ability to match part numbers accurately. Basic math and counting skills are required. This role also requires strong prioritization skills, with creative, problem-solving skills to think through issues in a fast-paced environment to meet output goals.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic computer skills, data entry, basic machine operation, and logging in and out of production jobs.
  • Language Skills: Basic reading, writing, and verbal English communication skills.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Strong work ethic, energy level, pace, and values; strong focus on the customer, quality and accuracy, with the flexibility to move to priorities throughout the operation areas, following all Safety requirements.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Pay is negotiable based on proven experience and abilities around assembly and inspection.

  • And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Core Hours: 5:00 am - 2:30 pm or 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Core hours Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday; (Currently working 9 hours five days a week, flexible hours)

Typical Work Week: M-F; with an occasional Saturday; 45 - 48 hours a week on average during peak times.

Travel: None

Work/Environment: Uses Exacto knives to trim material. Able to maneuver material up to 50 lbs. occasionally; automated lifting devices and additional help is available for heavier work. Requires good vision with ability to see colors.
