What You'll Do:

As the Purchasing Administrator, you will plan, prioritize, and coordinate the purchasing of specified materials to meet customer demands and production schedules, ensuring orders are completed on time and in budget.


Your Accountabilities In The Role:

  1. Collaborates with the estimating department to fully understand the product scope and order details to ensure accurate ordering.
  2. Orders materials based on current inventory levels and production needs, ensuring production schedules and project budgets are met.
  3. Coordinates purchases, ship dates, expedited orders, and pricing verification with vendors to ensure mutual goals are achieved.
  4. Maintains relationships with vendors to proactively resolve any errors in delivered materials or changes to orders, for effective and timely resolution.
  5. Creates cost-saving opportunities, where possible, by sourcing, qualifying, and adding on new vendors that can deliver on quality, delivery and price.

Position Requirements:

  1. Education: A High School Diploma or GED, will consider a combination of education and experience.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of purchasing in the printing industry preferred; willing to train the right person with experience in the industry.
  3. Certifications: NA
  4. Functional Skills: Strong planning, coordination, math, analytical and problem-solving skills are required; ability to research and create value opportunities; excellent multi-tasking, prioritization and organizational skills needed for this role; strong attention to details and follow-through.
  5. Technology Skills: Average Microsoft Office skills; especially Excel.
  6. Language Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills needed.
  7. Leadership/Behaviors: Self-starter who can work independently and with others; Good relational skills; assertive, collaborative, intuitive, and goal-oriented; trustworthy; Clear communicator with ability to adapt and navigate situations and work with vendors.
  8. Culture Match: High level of energy, confident in abilities yet humble to get help as needed; dependable and flexible to support the team and our customers.

Other Important Information:

Position Status & Salary: Exceptional hourly pay with discretionary bonuses paid quarterly!

  • And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: Estimating Manager

Core Hours: Monday - Friday

Typical Work Week: 8:00 - 5:00 pm; typically, 45-50 hrs. per week

Travel: None

Work Conditions: Working from home or at one of the office locations
